Mark Rolfsen is a clinical fellow of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors from University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. He then returned to his home state for a Doctorate of Medicine from Louisiana State University School of Medicine - New Orleans where he graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He completed an Internal Medicine residency at University of California, San Diego and developed a passion for critical care with a deep interest in improving long-term outcomes after the ICU. He is finishing his fellowship under a T32 training grant during which time he will take courses in the MSCI program.
His interests include long-term cognitive impairment following critical illness, cognitive rehabilitation and the relationship between physical activity and cognitive recovery after critical illness.
