Hope Ervin serves as a Research Coordinator for the CIBS Center where she focuses on evaluating the long-term cognitive, physical, and emotional outcomes in survivors of critical illness. Hope is a recent graduate of Vanderbilt Peabody College with a Master’s degree in Quantitative Methods where she studied advanced statistical methods and appropriate techniques associated with the study and analysis of human behavior. While an intern with the long-term outcomes core in graduate school, Hope studied the psychometric properties of various mental health measures among ICU survivors through factor analysis and item response theory. Prior to her time in Nashville, Hope obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Psychology from Birmingham-Southern College before serving as the Director of Marketing for one of the southeast’s largest real estate corporations.
