Annachiara Marra, MD, PhD

Annachiara Marra graduated summa cum laude from the University of Naples “Federico II”, Italy where she also completed her anesthesiology and critical care training. Dr. Marra joined the ICU Delirium and Cognitive Impairment Study Group at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN in 2015 as a PhD candidate, with a research focus on the role of EEG as a biomarker of delirium. In addition to pursuing her own EEG-focused study, Dr. Marra served as a coinvestigator in several of the Group’s cohort and randomized controlled trials. She received her PhD in Public Health from the University of Naples “Federico II” in 2017, and currently works as an anesthesiologist and intensivist at the University of Naples “Federico II”, and has several ongoing collaborations with the CIBS Center.
