Zachary "Zach" Nix is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) Majoring in Biology with a focus in genetics with minors in chemistry and philosophy. He joined the CIBS Clinical Core and Biomarker teams in August 2022 after working in the Vanderbilt Eye Institute and as a scientist performing organic extraction at Pace Laboratories for 2 years prior. At the CIBS Center, Zach serves as a specimen and freezer manager as well as performing biomarker assays. Zach is hopeful to join a Ph.D program in genetic medicine in the fall of 2024. He enjoys reading, video games, and discovering new foods.
