Rebecca Abel, MA, CIP has been at Vanderbilt since 2005, including 9 years with the Vanderbilt Human Research Protection Program and a variety of research, from special education to oncology.  She is a native Nashvillian and attended Belmont University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in sociology and was honored with the Community Service in Sociology Award.  Rebecca attended Trevecca Nazarene University where she earned a Master of Arts.  Rebecca values a career where she can contribute to the greater good and improve the lives of people around the world through her contribution to research. Her husband, daughter, and their yellow lab, Scout are her pride and joy. She volunteers with her daughter’s Girl Scout troop and enjoys bike rides, cooking and baking, and traveling with her family during her free time.
